Eco Commitment

We Don’t Just Talk About Sustainability. We Calculate It.

At Suryaans Paper, our environmental commitment is not a page on a website — it is the architecture of our entire manufacturing operation. Every material decision, every infrastructure investment, and every process we run has been chosen with a clear question in mind: what is the real impact of this, and can we do better? Below, we put numbers to what that commitment means — because impact that cannot be measured is impact that cannot be trusted.

Environmental Impact — Trees

5,100 Trees.
Every Single Day.

Producing 300 metric tonnes of kraft paper per day from recovered fibre rather than virgin pulp eliminates the need to harvest approximately 5,100 trees — every working day. Over a full year of production, that figure rises to over 1.86 million trees preserved.

These are not estimates. They are derived from the internationally recognised industry standard of 17 trees per tonne of recycled paper — the same benchmark used by the Environmental Paper Network and paper sustainability bodies globally. Beyond trees, the shift from virgin to recovered fibre conserves an estimated 657 million litres of water annually.

Environmental Impact — Solar Energy

6,824 Tonnes of CO₂
Eliminated. Every Year.

Our 5 MW on-site solar power plant generates approximately 8.32 million kWh of clean electricity annually — energy that directly powers our manufacturing operations and displaces the equivalent amount of grid electricity generated from fossil fuels. Measured against India’s current grid emission factor of 0.82 kg of CO₂ per kWh, our solar plant eliminates approximately 6,824 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions every year.

Advanced ETP System

Clean Water In.
Clean Water Out.

Paper manufacturing is a water-intensive process. At Suryaans Paper, we take that responsibility seriously. Our advanced Effluent Treatment Plant processes all wastewater generated during production, removing suspended solids, adjusting pH, and treating biological and chemical load before any water is discharged.

Our ETP system is not a compliance checkbox. It is an operational standard — maintained, monitored, and improved continuously to ensure that our manufacturing footprint on local water systems is as close to neutral as current technology allows.
